That aside, we have clients who still use Simpson and ask us to list them on the layout sheets, or, when MiTek does not have solution, providing direction to an alternate may be helpful. In our area, multiple dealers typically bid on projects and it becomes a time issue going back in on a job to reformat hangers - the feature would minimize steps when we know its going to multiple clients. Are we not provided a Boise-specific software?
I can appreciate the frustration in the distribution chain. This is not unlike the early days of the I-joist market when all manufacturers were fighting for specification. However, in this case Mitek also develops the software for both Sapphire Structure and BC Framer, which makes it a tough sell to get them to put in an alt product conversion table of their competitors product.
